You've dieted for a long time, often gone for quick fixes and now want something that is sustainable to have long-term, permanent results
We always have a health-first approach when it comes to all aspects but we go more in-depth with the following topics;
Hormones; both Peri-Menopause and your menstrual cycle can impact your results, we look at supporting these systems the best we can
Mental Health; we do things to support your mental health because it's such an important aspect of your overall health
Women's Health; as we age, women's heart & bone health are affected as well as our pelvic floor and gynaecological health. We include aspects to help guide & support through this
You've maybe spent a lot of time on various diets but to no avail; is it too hard to stick to? Maybe it's just not sustainable. Pam has a BSc Honours in Nutrition and will help your sift through all the quick-fixes to find a way that works for you
Inclusive; we don't demonise foods as they all have their place in a health diet
Energising; tell me someone who doesn't want more energy! Food is fuel when used correctly
Keep It Simple; it doesn't have to be complicated, the simpler the better and when it simple and easy to follow, it'll last longer
Our group sessions are like no other; had work but good fun too. With a maximum of 6 ladies in the Small Group Personal Training you'll feel the support form others too
Effective; the exercise programme is designed with efficiency in mind; getting you the most out of the 50 minute sessions is vital. You'll work to the optimal intensity level to get your results
Beneficial for Females; we focus on strength to build metabolic tissue, strengthen bones and support joints. We'll include pelvic floor work and mobility too as these are just as important
Inclusive; whether you're an experienced gym-goer or don't know the difference between free weights and free Willy, the sessions are all you need to reshape your body so you're happy and confident with it
This is one our biggest forms of self-sabotage; how we think about things can be our downfall
Reframing; we can often be pulled towards what hasn't worked out or what we haven't done but how about we focus on what has been done instead. When you reframe your through process you're actually rewiring how your brain thinks and this can be a game-changer when adopting new habits. We often think we can't do something and if you think that way it's probably true. Let's get curious about what you can do and you'll see the unexpected happen
Being Mindful; when we bring more awareness into our behaviours we can then implement change and it'll be more meaningful. Awareness of eating habits, exercise habits, ways that we self-sabotage are all vital to help adopt and embrace the changes we're trying to make
Relationship with Yourself; As a result of growing up, we can often have a poor relationship with ourselves because we've not to be too confident, we compare ourselves to others or our past selves, we've not to celebrate ourselves. If you don't celebrate yourself; who will? Celebrating you also proves you CAN do these things when you've always thought you can't
In order to live an active and healthy lifestyle, we have to act it out. Sometimes it's not natural for us to do certain things but, over time, that can change and have a positive influence on yourself plus others around you
Support Network; being around like-minded people will help keep you focused on being positive and moving forwards
Prioritising You; putting your needs first isn't selfish, it's vital. It's not only you that benefits either
Habits & Rituals; devising simple habits and rituals that become second nature so it's just who you are is how we want to integrate these things into our lives
"100% my favourite thing about the programme is the support; it's much more that just diet & exercise"
"I find the accountability really helps and that we make small changes so it's easier to stick with"
"The camaraderie is the best! The ladies on the programme are all different ages & stages in life but are all focused on the same goal; to be healthier, fitter, happier and make time for themselves but in return, help others on their journey"
"I haven't worn these trousers in 7 years, they're not only too big for me but I'm heavier than I was then. It just shows my body shape is changing so much. I rely on the scales much less now I understand them"
"My favourite thing is that it's done at my pace; no pressure and Pam adapts things to suit my injuries and abilities. I had never lifted a weight before coming along but now I'm telling others what they should be doing and using all the jargon"
"I can't believe how much I love weights now. I feel like I've got a wee PT in my pocket"
All your questions answered so you can make the right decision before moving forward and applying!
You'll get so much more out of Small Group Personal Training when compared to one-to-one;
We work with a maximum of 6 people to a session. You still get the individual care and attention you need
This not only adds more fun, a community feel and accountability, it's less expensive when compared to one-to-one
You'll be working at the required intensity to get your results
I can help put your mind at ease here ...
You're probably already spending the on snacks, meals out, takeaways, alcohol and new clothes because you're uncomfortable in the ones you have
Not to say you can't still do these things but less money spent on those things that don't serve you will result in investing in yourself and your health which will last a lifetime
The programme has so much value that it just makes sense to be part of it
This is one thing we're not lacking in Project You;
Monthly one-to-one call to set targets and plan out your month ahead
Sunday Set-Up call each week
Personal What's App contact
What's App community group
Monthly group walk
Access to an app with your very own habit tracker and workout plan
Facebook group
Being part of a group in generally gives you more accountability
You'll become accountable to yourself, over time, which levels everything up
As a result of working with women over 40 for many years, I know for sure that your results depend on much more than just exercise
Our bodies have various needs and the days of a few extra HIIT workouts and cutting the 'carbs before Marbs' unfortunately don't work the same as they maybe used to
There are many aspects to Project You (more details above) but we focus on the ones that are most relevant to you and what you want to achieve
I feel it's better to over-deliver so you can use as much or as little as the programme as you like; those who embrace it and adopt the principles will achieve their goals faster
This is the most common question I get asked;
Right at the start we do a one-to-one session where we figure out what you want to achieve then map out the plan. Where you want to be will be different to where someone else wants to be
We revisit this every month to make sure you're moving forwards
Everyone will have their own map to work to
The exercise sessions are easily adapted for abilities, experience and injuries (I have an injury background which helps this)
You are all encouraged to go at your own pace by Pam and the other ladies in the programme
We also start where you are, as opposed to where you think you should be which is a huge mindset shift when you get it
It's suitable for everyone;
Your plan is very specific to you, your abilities and your experience
Some ladies have come in and never lifted a weight before but after their second or third session they've got it and feel more comfortable
Pam is a very experienced coach who will start you where you are and let you go at your own pace while always encouraging you to push a little harder
